I had the predecessor (not the pro) and didn't use it because it was too cumbersome, wobbly and difficult to adjust. The successor is what I wanted. What I don't like so much: the quality of the picture is unfortunately not as good as with my Logitech before. But I think eye contact is more important. And I have the impression that my conversation partner feels more addressed.
This is the best light I’ve found for Zoom meetings. The instructions that came with it are not adequate, and the controls are a bit difficult to use. It doesn’t attach well to the camera either, but it certainly works well enough to be worth having. It is battery powered, so you have to remove and recharge it from time to time.
Had the camera few days now and lover it. Is it perfect, no, does do it what it is designed for - yes. Would recommend to anyone who talks on computer and like myself doesn't want the laptop in front of you - this camera provides much better image of the user to the audience on the call.
I have an iContact pro with the light panel and love it. Easy to use, easy to charge, great video and audio quality. I purchase an iContact Go as a gift for a colleague.
It is amazing to be looking directly at people when on my computer. I can also see my slides at eye level when I am presenting. This makes every video call feel like an in-person conversation and so much more engaging.
I had issues using Zoom (which is the main usage for me)
Auto-focus did not work as wished
and then in other recording auto-focus happened every 5-10 seconds, which also looks strange on the recording.
So far I went back to my old camera already a few times
My position in the camera is quite low so I need to lower my chair in order to be in the center of the image, which means that note-taking (typing) is not that comfortable any more.
I’m actually thinking of returning the camera
I will certainly use it for training videos. but for HQ sales videos I will stick with my Canon DSLR. With the Canon, I get great images with the adjustable lens and Professional AF and image stabilization. The colors are more natural and the green screen cuts on zoom are so mych better than the icontact.
The set up for this camera is so easy I was amazed. Quick and done.
Now my clients know I am not distracted and am looking into their eyes.
I am liking this camera as are my neck and shoulders! I no longer have to adjust my posture to appear as if I am looking directly at my clients. I wish the stem and camera was made from a thinner, more invisible material, and look forwards to v2.0!
Now I don’t have to worry about starting my calls sideways when I forget to put the lens down!
Just got the camera. The boom that extends down to middle of monitor does help me to maintain eye contact with the lens. For now, I find the boom a bit distracting when it’s down.
I just bought a second iContact Camera Pro to have in my other residence since I missed it so much!
I love the response I get from clients now that I can make eye contact with them online. This is a game changer .
After trying multiple cameras for meetings, this is the first one that I felt there is direct eye contact with the other person and not feeling like I was looking down. Will be looking to have these at all my computers as I slowly replace.
A nice camera. Easy to install and provides eye contact with virtual meeting participants.
This camera is a welcomed change. Since the days of the pandemic I've hoped to see some technological development that made me feel a little more like I was talking with someone rather than looking at a screen the iContact camera brings me closer to doing that - it has been the next best thing to being in the room with someone. I now have a better sense of eye contact helps close the distance in a Zoom session. It's super easy plug-and-play, and the autofocus is great.
Minimal onscreen screen footprint and great image quality. More importantly, I definitely noticed an improvement in team collaboration.
