The most common cause
Your meeting app is using the camera for video but a different device for audio — usually the laptop's built-in microphone. Open your audio settings and select iContact Camera as the microphone explicitly.
If the level is low
- Raise the input level in your operating system sound settings.
- Sit at a normal working distance. The dual microphones are tuned for one person at a desk.
- Turn up volume and auto gain in the desktop app.
If it picks up the room
- Turn on noise reduction in the desktop app.
- Leave echo cancellation on if you use speakers rather than headphones.
- Move away from fans, air conditioning, and mechanical keyboards.
If nobody can hear you at all
Check the arm is folded down. With the arm up, the Secure Switch cuts power to the microphones as well as the camera.
