Troubleshooting flickering with the iContact Camera
Flickering is usually caused by low voltage from using a USB hub or dock. Lag can occur for the same reason when the USB port isn't supplying enough power.
Basic fixes
- Plug the camera directly into your computer's USB port (not a hub or dock).
- Try a different USB port if needed.
- If the image is frozen, unplug the camera, restart your computer, and reconnect.
If the issue continues on a laptop, adjust your power settings
BIOS Settings
- Restart your computer and press ESC to enter BIOS.
- Navigate to Advanced > Power Management Options.
- Uncheck Runtime Power Management.
- Save and exit.
- For detailed BIOS steps, click here.
Nvidia Control Panel

- Set Power management mode to Prefer maximum performance.
Windows Power Settings
- Click Start, search for Power & Sleep Settings.
- Click Additional Power Settings on the right.
- Select High performance > click Change plan settings.
