Most wobble comes from a mount that was never pushed fully closed.
Steps
- Open the camera mount wide before placing it on your monitor.
- Position the mount flat against the top of the display.
- Push the lower section upward until it firmly grips the monitor.
- Confirm the mount is secure before adjusting the camera arm or attaching a light.

How it should look when seated
The mount sits flush on the bezel with no gap, and the camera body hangs straight rather than tilted forward.

If it still moves
Check the hinge is set to your screen depth. A hinge left open too wide puts the weight forward and lets the mount rock.
If the arm seems too short or too long for your screen
The arm is sized to the display, so the right answer is usually a different model rather than a different adjustment:
- ProMini — screens roughly 10 to 20 inches, including laptops.
- Pro — screens roughly 20 to 30 inches.
- ProXL — larger and ultrawide displays.
An arm that reaches too far down the screen usually means the model is sized for a larger display than yours; one that stops short of a comfortable eye line means the opposite. You can also raise or lower where the lens sits by moving your meeting window on screen — put the other person's face just below the lens and the eye line looks natural either way.
Curved and thick-bezel displays
These may need the hinge opened further. If the mount will not sit flat on your monitor, email support@icontactcamera.com with the brand and model and we will confirm whether it fits.
Adding a light
If you are attaching a Pro Light Panel, seat and check the mount first — the added weight makes a loose mount obvious.
