Follow the steps below to charge your SoftLight, turn it on or off, and adjust the brightness to your preference.
1. Charge Your SoftLight
Your SoftLight may arrive with a low battery charge from our fulfillment facility. Before using it for the first time, we recommend charging it for at least 2 hours.

Connect the SoftLight using the provided charging cable.

Plug the cable directly into a power source, not through the camera.

Allow it to charge for at least 2 hours before turning it on.
Charging through your iContact Camera: If your camera has charging contacts on top where the SoftLight mounts, you can also charge the light directly through the camera.
2. Turn Your SoftLight On and Off
The lower button controls the power.

To turn on: Press and hold the lower button until the light turns on.

To turn off: Press and hold the lower button until the light turns off.
3. Adjust the Brightness
The upper button controls the brightness of your SoftLight.

Press the upper button for at least 3 seconds to activate brightness adjustment.

Slide to adjust the brightness to your preferred level.

Stop sliding once you’ve reached your desired brightness.
Troubleshooting: SoftLight Won’t Turn On
If your SoftLight does not turn on, charge it for at least 2 hours using a power source directly, not through the camera, before trying again.
