Autofocus is enabled by default and suits most video calls.

Switching to manual focus

  1. Open iContact Control.
  2. Find the focus control.
  3. Turn Autofocus off.
  4. Adjust focus manually until your image is sharp.

When manual is worth it

Manual focus helps when you sit at a fixed distance from the camera and want to stop the lens hunting — for example if you gesture a lot, or there is movement behind you that keeps pulling focus.

For everything else, leave autofocus on.

iContact Camera Go

Go uses a manually adjusted lens rather than autofocus. See adjusting focus on iContact Camera Go.
