If your iContact Camera is connected to your computer but you're seeing a black screen, no video, or no camera feed in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, or another video call app, the most common causes are the wrong camera being selected, the app being open before the camera was connected, or another application already using the camera.

Check these first

  1. Make sure the camera arm is fully down. With the arm up, the camera and microphones are powered off.
  2. Make sure your computer recognises the camera. If it doesn't, follow our Getting your computer to recognise your camera guide first.
  3. Quit the video call app completely, then reopen it. Closing the meeting window may not be enough.
  4. Close any other app that may be using the camera, such as another video call app, the Camera app, OBS, or iContact Control.
  5. Reconnect the camera and reopen the video call app.

Select your iContact Camera

Open the video or camera settings in your video call app and make sure iContact Camera is selected.

If you're using iContact Control and want to use the settings you've adjusted there, select iContact Control as your camera source instead.

If you see a black screen, blank video, or no video at all, try switching between iContact Camera and iContact Control to see if the video feed returns.

Still seeing no video?

Restart your computer, reconnect the camera, and open your video call app again.

If the camera works in other apps but not in one specific video call app, the issue is most likely related to that app's camera selection or settings.
